The Husband's Only Wish on the List

The husband client wanted me to design an Old World Classical / Timeless Library. Coming from a family backround of horse people, the wife was a retired equestrienne with some fabulous equestrian artifacts which her husband allowed me to incorporate into his very " masculine room ".

Imported English leather tufted sofas compliment the Tabriz Carpet. The lamp by the wing chair is one of a pair of Japanese Satsuma Porcelaines. Originally vases, I had these pieces mounted on teak bases, wired and converted into handsome lamps.

Drapery Treatment is my Design, and the Imported English fabric is a Persian Hunt Scene. Equestrian flavor predominates here in a most sophisticated venue. Truely a autumn / winter retreat, the room with or without the roaring fire warmly embraces everyone insisting that you not leave without just a sip of Cognac from that wide bellied Crystal brandy snifter.

Every man loves this library.
